PostHeaderIcon On health insurance

The death of my uncle earlier made me account how much they have spent for his medication. Maybe they already spent almost a million, if not because of his health insurance, it would have doubled. That reminded me of my plan on getting Daddy a cheap health insurance since mine was already stopped when I quit my job. Besides, I cannot declare Daddy to be my dependent for he’s not yet over 60 years old so better yet get one in his name. This health insurance would be of great help in case we need it (knock on wood).

Guess what store, department or section in the mall Ace would not go to? If you answer lingerie section, you are absolutely wrong! It’s not a problem with him being seen roaming around lingerie section but I cannot drag him to the cosmetics and skin care section, and forcing him to go with me inside the store would be an issue. If he wants something, I should be the one to get it. Sometimes, that pisses me. His reason for not going inside the store? He is ashamed of his facial skin. He has acne-prone skin (maybe due to genes) that left scars and marks on his face. He hasn’t tried undergoing an acne treatment, I guess. So that explains the scars which made him so ashamed about it. Due to that “uneven” skin, he now suffers from low self esteem which made him really ashamed of going inside the store. He’s so paranoid about what others are saying about his face. Though I feel for him,  sometimes it’s already unreasonable so I told him to better seek professional help about that problem or better yet change his perspective because whether he likes it or not, the problem is already there. He just needs to face it.

Another healthy dish I learned from my late Mother that Ace loved so much since the first time I cooked is Chicken Afritada. My dilemma when serving this is that I wanted it with just enough sauce while Ace wanted the opposite for he loves pouring the sauce over his rice and he cannot be contented with just a little bit of sauce in his rice.

Happy food tripping! Join us in Food Trip Friday.
