Got my first ever food magazine last weekend. I don’t normally buy because recipes can be searched online. If I want to try a new dish, I just search for a recipe and presto, I am good to go. More often than not, if hubby requests for a new dish, I just imagine how it is cooked and I make my own version without following any recipe. Besides, I have my collection of recipes from the food can labels and others so I don’t really feel I need a food magazine then. But lately, I was drowned into one of the food mags in the magazine stand and I took one and a recipe book for quick and easy dishes aside from magazine that I regularly buy.

As I was browsing through the pages of that food magazine, I am inspired to try all the recipes. There’s Quick easy dinner recipes that I must try for additional dishes that I could serve hubby after a hard-day’s work. I am yet excited for this but I need to make a meal plan to save me a few bucks for the unnecessary purchases at the grocery. Besides, we don’t have a fridge yet and we are using the neighbor’s so careful planning is necessary because I don’t wanna overload the neighbor’s fridge.

So before the week ends, I must have my meal plan packed with different rice dishes, and quick & easy dinner recipes that I got from the recipe book. I wanted to try those quick and easy dinner dishes to save me time from preparing for I have planned to spend long hours online for work next week so I won’t be able to spend hours in preparing and cooking. Besides, I am planning to make use of the freezer as my best friend this time. I’d cook more than enough and freeze it. That way, I’ll save time from cooking!

Misua with pork and veggies

I learned this recipe from a Chinese colleague. Every time somebody in her family or anybody among us (her close officemates) is celebrating a birthday, this is what we have during lunch….Misua with pork and veggies. I love this dish so I tried it at home and Ace loved it too. This isn’t hard to cook. Just saute garlic and onion, add pork and simmer until tender, add chopped cabbage then Misua. Presto, you have a yummy, healthy dish for lunch or dinner! It’s good for merienda too.
