Food Trip Friday: Calamares
I missed FTF last week for no valid reason. I forgot to post my entry and when I recalled about posting it, it’s already Sunday. Hence I waited for this day to post my newest recipe.
When I sent my youngest sister to the market late last week, squid is on the list because I am craving for “adobong pusit” but she came home with 3 large white squid that isn’t good for “adobo”. I want the red ones so the “sabaw” would be dark!*lol* Hence I ended up with Calamares instead. I’ve been wanting to try this recipe before but I can’t convince myself to buy white squid at the market because I find it expensive. Anyway, here’s my Calamares…
I was amazed at how easy it is to prepare and oh…so yummy (according to the board of tasters) with a garlic vinegar as a dip. The next time I’ll go to the market, I’ll check for white squid and make Calamares again.

Ako rin, I want those dark squid kaso wala akong makita dito, and when I’m craving for pusit, I ended up with white as well.Yummy with slithly spicy dip!

wow i love calamares but i havent tried adobong pusit.. takot kasi ako sa itim na food lol..
i also love adobong pusit with the ink—spicy with lots of pepper.:P
have you tried fish sauce (bagoong isda with calamansi) as dip for calamares? masarap!
Same here,I love adobong pusit with the ink kaya lang madalang lang akong magluto ng seafoods dito kasi may allergy si hubby.I bet that calamares of yours is sooo good on beer!!^_^

hubby and I love calamaris! Every restaurant that serves it, we always try it… so far the Thai Emerald has the best of all…
I do cook calamaris too but Thai Emerald uses baby squid and its better!

pssttt don’t tell my mom. I love calamares. hehehe. Great for pulutan but i love rice din so ginagawa ko syang ulam. hehehe
