Faking a full tummy
We were out last night to attend a birthday party of my sister Carol’s BIL. It was a simple party with LOTS of food (read: lots of dishes) that I almost don’t know what to pick from the buffet table. There’s an ever fave lechon (but not the whole lechon) but Idecided to pass on it. Is it me? I didn’t pick even a single slice. I don’t know but maybe because I didn’t see the whole lechon thus I wasn’t tempted to get a slice. There’s a lot of food but all I had is pork b-b-q, duck cooked in yummy sauce (I don’t know what the dish is called), and goat kinilaw (I am not really sure if it’s a goat meat but to me it tastes like one).
I was looking for something rich in fiber but I settled with a few slices of watermelon. In parties like that, I don’t know why I can’t be like others who eat to their hearts’ content. I didn’t eat that much and yet I feel full already. Seems like I’ve been taking weight loss products with the way I eat in parties and buffet restaurants (the reason why buffet restaurants are not a big hit for me). But if you bring me to a place where there’s only few choices, I could eat too much until I am truly full. Needless to say, my tummy knows how to fake a full feeling when I am at parties and buffet restaurants.
