Cooking for me is one important thing that every woman should know. Nobody was born with that innate skill but it is learned…..and loved. It’s one of the things that every wife or mother MUST do. A man who is married to a woman that can cook is one proud husband. I’ve seen that from my former colleagues (since I have been employed in manufacturing companies with men as majority of the population). During meal breaks, they are one proud husband to let the people know their wife prepared what’s in their brown bag much more if colleagues praise the dish that their wife cooked. I realized it’s like they have owned sport trophies for having a responsible better half who does not only take care of the kids but of the food on the table as well. That was a challenge that I took and hoped that my future husband will be proud of me too. With that determination, I strived to cook…with those simple dishes that my late mother taught me when she was training me in the kitchen.
It wasn’t easy. But I learned to love cooking when hubby is all praises with my dishes. Then he started requesting for certain dish. Can’t say no so thanks to my imagination and the internet for the recipes. At times, I just imagine how the dish was prepared and I do my version. So far, so good. With my number fan, I always feel satisfied in the kitchen.

Leche Flan for hubby on heart’s day
I am lucky to have him and he’s lucky to have me too.LOL. So here’s my heart’s day present to him…his favorite Leche Flan in heart shape. I have this homemade leche flan recipe that I’ve been keeping for four years after a number of attempts.
