Misua with pork and veggies
I learned this recipe from a Chinese colleague. Every time somebody in her family or anybody among us (her close officemates) is celebrating a birthday, this is what we have during lunch….Misua with pork and veggies. I love this dish so I tried it at home and Ace loved it too. This isn’t hard to cook. Just saute garlic and onion, add pork and simmer until tender, add chopped cabbage then Misua. Presto, you have a yummy, healthy dish for lunch or dinner! It’s good for merienda too.
I am on a diet…seriously
For more than a week I’ve been to a fruit and veggie diet. Just by thinking of eating only fruits and veggies, I can’t convince myself that I would survive even for a day. But due to some stomach issues, I tried that diet that I’ve been hearing from my former boss and have been reading from health blogs. I had fruits for breakfast, fruits or corn for lunch then veggies for dinner. With that kind of diet, I noticed I don’t feel hungry most of the time compared to when I am eating regular meals composed of rice and meat or fish. It also helped my body detoxify.
With the health benefits of proper and maintained fruit and veggie diet in a person’s lifetime, I think one won’t need a very comprehensive and expensive health insurance or even just an affordable health insurance to cover one’s needs should he or she will get sick because people who maintains a healthy lifestyle has low risk of getting sick. Maintaining that fruit and veggie diet is now a challenge. It’s quite expensive but worth the penny.
Fruit and veggie diet
Last week I tried cooking Kare-Kare for the first time. After the sumptuous dinner of Pork pata Kare-Kare and leche flan (which I also cooked), I had stomach spasms the following morning and a mild LBM. I searched online for the cause of stomach spasm and Mr. G told me there are rotten food particles in my stomach and intestinal walls being eaten by bacteria. Initial symptom of stomach spasm is bloating which I was experiencing days before the actual spasm. The moment they multiply, it’s the time that I am feeling that stomach pain. That stomach problem is triggered by eating peanuts and peanut products and dairy products. So that explains the stomach pains I felt after eating Kare-Kare and leche flan. I need to flush out those food particles trapped in my intestinal walls hence I am having high in fiber diet now – lots of fruits and veggies with no meat. I’ll try to keep that diet for a week or two until my stomach has fully recovered. With this diet, I think I won’t need a weight loss pill for I will surely lose some unwanted flabs because of “no meat” diet. Wanna join me in my diet? I must say I am loving it! I felt so light and not bloated.
